About

Todd Lombardo was introduced to music at a very young age.  Originally from upstate NY, Todd started on piano at age 6 and continued on the instrument until age 14.  His interest in guitar was sparked in his early teens after moving to north Florida.  There, he was introduced to the music of jazz instrumentalists Bill Frisell, Pat Methany and Michael Hedges, and soon formed his own band playing instrumental music of a similar style.  At the same time, Todd was introduced to the world of bluegrass, the guitar of Tony Rice, the banjo of Bela Fleck and the mandolin of Chris Thile, all of which helped steer him in the direction he has taken.Todd moved to Nashville in the spring of ’06 to pursue a career in session recording. Since his move  to Nashville, Todd wrote a song nominated for a Grammy in the Best Country Instrumental Performance category and has worked with artists like Taylor Swift, Gwyneth Paltrow, Vince Gill, and Sara Watkins (of Nickel Creek) to name but a few.  Currently, Todd plays Acoustic guitar for Dobro legend Jerry Douglas and Bassist Viktor Krauss.
